”By acting now to augment Israel's military capabilities, the United States can help Israel defend itself by itself, prevent a nuclear Iran, and address one of the most pressing strategic challenges America faces today."

March 22, 2023

In an open letter published by the Jewish Institute for National Security of America, 44 American generals and admirals urged the United States to “apply lessons of the year-old Ukraine conflict: It’s vital to arm capable and willing partners facing regional threats, and best to do so before conflict erupts. To confront this pressing high-priority threat, the United States should immediately provide Israel with the advanced weapons it needs to deter and prevent a nuclear Iran.”

The distinguished generals described the Iran nuclear threat as “one of the most pressing strategic challenges America faces today” and urged the Biden Administration to “expedite delivery—through outright sale, temporary lease, or prepositioning in Israel—KC-46A aerial refueling tankers, F-15I’s, F-35s, and precision-guided munitions, such as the Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM)”.

As retired American military leaders who devoted our lives to the defense of our nation, we prefer a diplomatic solution that would genuinely end the threat posed by Iran’s escalating nuclear program. But no such deal is imminent, nor realistic,” the letter said. “The United States cannot pursue a deal while the Tehran regime brutalizes its own people and provides Russia with arms to target civilians in Ukraine,” the letter continued.

Led by Air Force General Chuck Wald (ret.) and Navy Vice Admiral John Bird (ret.), the distinguished military leaders summed up their advice:

“Our military experience has taught us that demonstrating the willingness and capability to use force offers the best chance against having to do so. If a conflict does commence, it is best to possess already the weapons necessary to achieve success,”.. “By acting now to augment Israel’s military capabilities, the United States can help Israel defend itself by itself, prevent a nuclear Iran, and address one of the most pressing strategic challenges America faces today.”

Stop Iran Now extends our deepest gratitude to all of the distinguished generals and admirals who wrote this letter both for their service and for their continued devotion to our beloved nation.

In the way of background.......

The International Atomic Energy recently confirmed that inspectors in Iran detected the presence of uranium enriched to near 84 percent purity, very close to weapons grade.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been trying to unify western leaders to address the threat and vowed to do whatever it takes to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons even if Israel must "defend itself by itself".

Iran's Supreme leader unites its followers to chants of "death to Israel" and "death to America"and has repeatedly vowed to annihilate the tiny but mighty Jewish state, the only democracy in the region and historically the United States' closest ally. It sees this as a precursor to its ultimate goal defeating western civilization and imposing its barbaric creed globally.

The Iranian regime brutally oppresses its people and is the greatest state sponsor of terrorism in the world with proxies have tentacles in Europe, Africa and the Americas. It has invaded much of the Middle East in an unconscionable campaign of murder, conquest and subjugation in which hundreds of thousands of Christian and Muslim men, women and children have been murdered using barrel bombs and chemical weapons.

Recently, the US Justice Department brought criminal charges against a member of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for trying to orchestrate the assassination of Mike Pompeo and John Bolton, who served in senior national security positions in the United States and arrested an Iranian agent for the attempted murder of a prominent Iranian-American activist at her home in Brooklyn, New York. Iran Quds Force agents also planned at large scale bombing at Cafe Milano — in the heart of Washington, DC. Additionally, an Iranian diplomat/intelligence agent acting on orders from Tehran was convicted by a Belgian Court for plotting to bomb a huge opposition rally in the center of Paris.
